Joëlle Guérin, Cactus Dairy Products Manager and a professional in the sector for 35 years, she shares with you her passion for her work:
How did you become an expert in your field of work? How long have you been working in your sector? What did you study?
I did a business studies degree at EdHEC, a major business school in France. At 23, I graduated with a degree in Economics with Finance and Marketing options. Then I worked in sales and marketing for a huge dairy product company and for the past 35 years I’ve stayed in this field. During my career, I’ve had the opportunity to expand my knowledge through meeting many experts working in the sector and visiting farms and dairy factories, as well as reading up widely on the subject.
What is your passion for your work?
I have a particular fondness for dairy products, and especially cheeses. In France, eating cheese is an institution. And I love sharing this passion with the people around me, my family first of all, my colleagues and friends.
When did you start working for Cactus?
I’ve been working for Cactus now for 28 years.
Do you belong to any association connected with your work?
I’m a member of the cheese society Confrérie des chevaliers du taste fromage de France. The aim of this society is to promote French cheeses in France, with regard to how they are eaten and contribute to culinary creations and to preserve traditions connected with regions in France.
Could you give us a favourite recipe for one of your products?
When I am out hiking, I particularly enjoy eating salad with Greek feta cheese. However, every sort of cheese is great for cooking with. For aperitif drinks, you can use any hard cheese, for example, by simply cutting it into cubes.
